Community Mediation
Community Mediation aims to address conflict directly by co-creating mutually beneficial agreements using a needs based analysis.
***
It is a self-determined process which offers opportunities for reconciliation with the support of a facilitator outside of traditional legal systems. The mediation process acknowledges that all conflict has history rooted in personal, interpersonal, and systemic experiences of power and privilege. The goal of mediation is not to resolve conflict, however, mediation works to address conflict by focusing on a common goal and facilitating increased dialogue and clarity.

Restorative Practices
Restorative practices offer a methodology to stay in community by centering shared values without shame or blame.
***
We are brought into the world in community. We are hurt in community. And we heal in community. Circle processes have been practiced by Indigenous cultures across time and space as a ritual to strengthen group dynamics and increase unity. A well facilitated circle emphasizes active listening, and authentic self-expression. This type of collective process offers a container to bear witness to pain, grapple with accountability, self-responsibility, and healing.
